The work behind going to market

A buyer asks for a demo. Marketing captures the request, Sales follows up, and Customer Success helps the buyer get value after purchase. Go-to-market (GTM) is the plan for reaching customers, selling to them, and keeping the relationship useful. The software and handoffs underneath that plan need someone to make them work.

GTM engineering turns that plan into repeatable systems. The engineer works with the people affected, defines the decisions and data, builds or configures the workflow, and checks whether it helped. A lead router, a shared forecasting view, and an admin tool that saves hours can all be GTM engineering. AI and code are options, not entry requirements.

Meet Taylor, an operations generalist at Northstar Learning. Northstar sells employee-training software to businesses. You will help her investigate one request, then build a project brief in this browser. No CRM account, code, or paid tools are needed.
